On July 23 at 7:00 PM CET, Global MPN Scientific Foundation will host a new Wellbeing Webinar dedicated to a topic of interest for the MPN community: “Understanding how the body naturally produces interferon.”

The webinar will be led by José María Sánchez Navarro, naturopath, osteopath, specialist in micronutrients and dietary therapy, and active cellular nutrition. José María has previously taken part in webinars organized by Global MPN, bringing a complementary perspective on wellbeing, nutrition and integrative care.
This new webinar is part of Global MPN’s commitment to a broader approach to supporting people living with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), combining medical information, patient education and wellbeing tools that may help patients and caregivers better understand the body and its processes.
Why talk about interferon?
Interferon is a protein naturally produced by the body and is part of the immune system response. In the context of MPNs, interferon is also known because there are treatments based on this molecule that may be used in certain patients, always under medical indication and supervision.
However, the aim of this webinar is not to discuss interferon as a drug treatment, but to help participants better understand how the body takes part in its own processes of regulation, defense and balance.
From a wellbeing-centered perspective, José María Sánchez Navarro will explain aspects related to how the body works, the role of micronutrients, cellular nutrition and habits that may support general health and daily care.
A complementary perspective on wellbeing
Living with an MPN involves much more than receiving a diagnosis or following a treatment plan. It can also mean learning to live with uncertainty, listening to the body, managing daily energy, coping with fatigue and making informed decisions together with the hematologist.
For this reason, Global MPN’s Wellbeing spaces aim to offer useful and accessible information about different aspects of everyday care, always from a responsible perspective.
During the webinar, topics will include:
The role of the body in the natural production of interferon.
The importance of micronutrients in cellular function.
The relationship between nutrition, internal balance and general wellbeing.
The need to understand care as part of a broader process.
This content does not replace medical care or treatments prescribed by a hematologist. Its purpose is to offer an educational and complementary perspective that may help patients and caregivers better understand some mechanisms of the body and reflect on daily self-care.
