Three days bringing patients, experts, healthcare professionals and the MPN community together in a free hybrid meeting

6th Global MPN Symposium in Barcelona from November 6 to 8, 2026, a free international hybrid meeting for the MPN community.

From November 6 to 8, 2026, Barcelona will host the 6th Global MPN Symposium, a new international meeting organized by the Global MPN Scientific Foundation to bring together the myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) community.

The symposium will once again create a space where patients, healthcare professionals, MPN experts, patient organizations and industry representatives can share knowledge, experiences and new perspectives on MPNs. The planned program will also include the participation of more than 25 patients from different countries, together with activities focusing on research, symptoms, quality of life and wellbeing.

Three days to explore MPN from different perspectives

Over the three days, the symposium will include sessions on the present and future of MPNs, international projects, working groups focused on myelofibrosis, polycythemia vera and essential thrombocythemia, patient participation, quality of life and activities from the Wellbeing Project.

Because understanding MPNs is not only about learning about new treatments or scientific results. It also means talking about symptoms, everyday needs, wellbeing, access to information and the issues that patients themselves consider important.

Participation will be free of charge, and the meeting will have a hybrid format. This means participants will be able to:

  • Attend in person in Barcelona, following registration.

  • Join the different sessions online, from anywhere.

A dedicated space for AYA patients

One of the areas we particularly want to highlight this year is the creation of a dedicated space for AYA patients, Adolescents and Young Adults, young people and young adults diagnosed with an MPN, together with their families.

On Sunday, November 8, the program will include a dedicated working group with Dr. Natalia Curto and Prof. Haifa Al-Ali.

At Global MPN, we want to better understand and listen to the experiences of people who receive an MPN diagnosis at a young age.

That is why we have a special invitation:

If you are under 40, living with an MPN and would like to attend the symposium in Barcelona in person, Global MPN can offer special arrangements. Please contact us.

We want the voices of young patients to be part of this conversation from the very beginning.

WE WANT TO MEET YOU!
