Global MPN Will Be at ESMO 2026 in Madrid
From October 23–27, Global MPN will bring the perspective of people living with MPN to one of the world's major oncology meetings

From October 23–27, 2026, Madrid will host ESMO 2026, organized by the European Society for Medical Oncology, bringing together more than 37,000 professionals from 174 countries at IFEMA MADRID.
Global MPN will be there to follow the latest scientific developments, strengthen international connections and help ensure that myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) remain part of the wider conversation about cancer.
MPN also need a place in the conversation
Myelofibrosis (MF), polycythemia vera (PV) and essential thrombocythemia (ET) are rare diseases. That makes it especially important for the needs, questions and experiences of people living with them to be represented at major scientific meetings.
During ESMO, Peter Löffelhardt will represent Global MPN with several priorities:
follow developments and discussions relevant to the MPN community;
strengthen collaboration with healthcare professionals, researchers and patient organizations;
continue highlighting quality of life, access to understandable information and meaningful patient involvement.
Patient experience belongs in the conversation too
Research and new treatments are essential. But so are the questions that come from everyday life. How do symptoms affect daily routines? Which needs remain unmet? How can patients and families receive better information and support?
Being present at ESMO 2026 gives us another opportunity to connect those questions with professionals, organizations and researchers from around the world.
